Well, my name is Jonathan Foulger and I live in Rawtenstall, the heart of the Rossendale valley in Lancashire. I have always loved photography which started as a child taking photographs around the landscape of West Yorkshire where I grew up. My love in life is photography which is why I chose to make a living out of it. I always aim to achieve the best possible photographs on every shoot.

Photography takes an instant out of time, altering life by holding it still.

My professional values

One of my core values is listening. I believe it is very important to understand what you are looking for and ultimatley what style of photographs you are looking for. You commission me to capture moments in time and it is my job to make those moments last forever.

It is very important in order to get the best out of a photography session to make you feel at ease and to understand exactly what it is you like. I always aim to make you feel comfortable and relaxed to ensure you get the best out of your photography session.

My photography style

I am fortunate enough to have my work featured in some of the top artist studios in England and has been highly acclaimed. My style is not ‘standard’ shots on a white background. I use low key creative lighting to capture beautiful moments in time.

To me, photography is an art of observation. It’s about finding something interesting in an ordinary place… I’ve found it has little to do with the things you see and everything to do with the way you see them.
